Demonstration Project
We don't have many before and after pictures on this project. But we did
take 9 pickups full of debris to the stump dump. It took
a lot of work by our volunteers! Many thanks to Bob Berger, George &
Illeen Fisher, Joe & Jerry Eaton, Jim Mitchell and Ken Weaver for their time and
effort!

It is difficult to tell the difference made by our work.
But if you pay attention to the space that was created between the plants
growing on the ground and the first limbs of the trees you will get an idea of
what we are trying to accomplish. It's all about the heat that is
generated by the plants that will catch on fire on the ground from "firebrands".
If we can keep the fire on the ground, the Firefighters will put out the fire.
If it gets into the crown (top of the trees) then the fire becomes a major
problem and all the entire area is threatened.
